Geen Yin zonder Yang, geen duisternis zonder licht—het één bestaat dankzij het ander.

Dit schilderij is ontstaan in de overgang van stilte naar beweging, tussen de rust van de winter en het ontwaken van de lente. Net zoals de seizoenen veranderen, zo verschuift ook de energie in ons.

Ik koester de diepe, reflectieve aard van Yin—de rust, de pauze, de innerlijke reis. Maar nu voel ik de roep van Yang—de actie, het vuur, de terugkeer van de zon. Dit werk is een weerspiegeling van die balans, van de eeuwige dans tussen schaduw en licht, van het omarmen van verandering.

This painting was born in the space between stillness and movement, between the quiet of winter and the awakening of spring. As the seasons shift, so does the energy within.

I’ve always cherished the deep, reflective nature of Yin—the rest, the pause, the inward journey. But now, I feel the pull of Yang—the motion, the fire, the return of the sun. This piece is a reflection of that balance, of the ever-present dance between shadow and light, of embracing change with open arms.
